About The Position

Pendo is a multi-app platform that gives users a better understanding of how their targeted applications are being used. Pendo gives product teams a better understanding of their own product and how it's being used. The Platform team focuses on the underlying technology that powers the Pendo platform and will be building for Pendo developers, customer and third-party developers, as well as Pendo end-users. The designer within Platform is responsible for working with Product and Engineering counterparts to shape these ideas and to provide iterative, data-driven solutions that are useful, usable, accessible and lovable. You will be focused on features that touch the entire Pendo platform such as Settings, Admin controls, APIs, and integrations.

Requirements

• Comfortable with all aspects of product design: user research, prototyping, interaction design and visual design
• Deep understanding of the fundamental principles of product design
• Passionate about product innovation
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ship real product
• Design and deliver end-to-end user experiences that are grounded in customer insights, business goals and technology
• Data-driven—use data to inform design decisions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable and motivated by work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing for analytics and/or with creating data visualizations
• Ability to code html/css
• Experience working with multi-office and/or distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of prototyping, interaction design, visual design, user research
• Learning to influence roadmaps and product decisions with customer insights.
• Learning to clearly articulate the platform vision and initiatives to product teams and stakeholders.
• Learning to craft end-to-end user experiences grounded in customer insights, data, business goals

• Become intimately familiar with Pendo as a product.
• Enabling broader support for Pendo users of languages outside of English
• Delivering deeper understanding of user activity month over month
• Expanding visitor reporting to include better support for revenue insights
• Optimizing new customer setup and account configuration for all customers
