Your creativity and upbeat attitude will be essential as you tackle sensitive topics and tell character-driven stories. Alongside the team, you'll represent what's happening in your community and connect audiences with the stories that matter. As a part of Spectrum News, you're creative, highly technical, and ready to bring your community's stories to life in our newsroom. You value accuracy and want to leverage your curiosity and storytelling abilities to share inspiring news across multiple platforms. Requirements

Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
Education: High school diploma
Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred
Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems
May be required to lift up to five pounds
