About The Position

Hearst Magazines is seeking an Associate Video Producer for the Fashion & Luxury Group. This role involves supporting the production of high-quality video content across various prestigious brands, including Harper's BAZAAR, ELLE, and Esquire. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Associate Producer will collaborate with various teams and serve as the primary contact for shoots and projects, requiring adaptability to different aesthetics and working styles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in a digital production environment.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience working in AirTable is a major plus.
  • Pop-culture obsessed and up to date on current trends/topics/social media platforms.
  • Well versed in the different editorial voices of all Hearst Magazines brands.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Team player who thrives on teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing shoot schedules and sending out call sheets.
  • Coordinate shoot details including props, crafty, lunches, wardrobe, glam, and more.
  • Coordinate and keep track of all necessary releases for shoots.
  • Coordinate studio bookings, both in-house and outsourced studios when needed.
  • Curate talent info sheets and create creative document templates for producers.
  • Research and assist in writing treatments for different video formats (shortform, digital, and longform).
  • Write talent bios and work with producers to flesh out written video creative.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining budgets/expenses.
  • Assist with prop runs and write graphics for video (and provide research sources as needed).
  • Source assets for creative decks and videos.
  • Assist with booking and coordinating crew, talent, equipment rentals as needed.
  • Work closely with producers to secure proper insurance/documentation for shoots as needed.
  • Book travel for talent and crew as needed.
  • Book studios and locations for shoots.

Benefits

  • Base salary between $64,000-$68,000 depending on experience and skills.
