About The Position

Blizzard Entertainment’s Story & Franchise Development team is looking for an Associate Producer to support the day-to-day management of our talented books department. This position will support production and provide coverage that will fluctuate based on current needs. We are looking for a candidate that is extremely organized and process-minded, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid work environment and adaptable to priorities that will shift week to week. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. This is a 6-month temporary position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience using Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain complex schedules
  • Extremely organized and resourceful
  • Persistent self-motivation and initiative; hardworking “can-do” attitude is necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in publishing industry
  • Knowledge of Blizzard games, franchises, and expanded universes
  • Familiarity with Jira, Shotgrid, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support as needed for the Books Department on all projects in development
  • Schedule meetings for books team, stakeholders, and creative leaders to discuss projects
  • Take concise and comprehensive notes during meetings and distribute them to internal/external stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Manage deliverables and route to stakeholders for review
  • Manage administrative tasks, including submitting timecards, archiving documents, tracking project statuses, and maintaining network folders
  • Step into certain producorial duties and provide coverage when producers are unavailable
