About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Associate Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for researching, sourcing, evaluating and processing orders to purchase services, supplies and equipment based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet customer needs. Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply, optimizing execution of the supply chain while balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand. Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements. The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required. Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements. Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities. Spares pricing and lead-time negotiations. Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customer’s requirements.

Requirements

• 1+ years in a Supply Chain related position
• Experience with basic ERP system functionality, SAP or similar tool
• Experience in negotiation
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment - such high volume transactional purchasing
• Experience with interacting directly with suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Able to travel 10% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
• Experience in procuring sheet metal components
• Experience working in a distribution business environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple competing priorities
