This role can be filled in either Sarasota, FL or Woodland Hills, CA Branches. This position is eligible to participate in Zenith's hybrid work schedule, which provides the flexibility to work from home on select days of the week according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership. Under immediate supervision, an associate shall engage in on-the-job training and other means to acquire the foundation level skills of audit review. On-the-job training and instruction will include exposure to workers' compensation manual rules and classifications. The associate will also become proficient in the final invoice process. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: learning to interpret manual rules and classifications and apply findings, completing final reviews on small premium audits for accuracy and invoicing in a timely manner, identifying reasons for large increases or return premiums on final invoices, and effectively communicating with agents, internal customers, and insureds regarding audits. The associate will learn and execute the fundamentals of a physical audit review, assist with clerical duties as necessary, apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, work productively and harmoniously with others, respond positively to direction and feedback on performance, maintain a professional demeanor, and perform other duties/projects as assigned.

  • Learn to interpret manual rules and classifications and apply findings.
  • Complete final reviews on small premium audits for accuracy and invoice in a timely manner.
  • Identify reasons for large increases or return premiums on final invoices.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with agents and insureds, branch and interdepartmental contacts.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 1+ years in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1 year general work experience required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to learn basic negotiation and reasoning skills.
  • Self-starting, highly organized, motivated person.
  • Valid driver license may be required for hybrid field role.
