Within this role, you will be responsible for effective credit and risk administration. Additionally, you are responsible for adherence to credit policy and requirements. Furthermore, you should be equipped to oversee financial analysis and modeling, risk evaluation, and ongoing portfolio maintenance activities. Lastly, you will provide client support for assigned portfolios of Business Banking clients.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to administer credit and risk processes effectively, ensuring strict adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong skills in interpreting financial statements, conducting cash flow and collateral coverage analysis, and applying independent judgment to assess creditworthiness and risk ratings.
  • Experience managing business banking portfolios, including tracking financial reporting, covenant compliance, and collateral requirements.
  • Ability to engage directly with clients to resolve financial analysis or account management issues, and identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Skilled in preparing internal compliance reports, credit summaries, and industry analyses with attention to detail and organizational clarity.
  • Capable of completing full underwriting or annual reviews independently, handling multiple accounts, and participating actively in risk discussions.
  • Comfortable working with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to support moderately complex credits, and responding to credit-related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with CPS, terms and conditions appendices, profitability models, and financial covenant structuring for straightforward loans.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all necessary credit files are present and up to date.
  • Prepare and submit internal reporting/compliance documents and reporting for assigned portfolio.
  • Complete written summaries of industry issues and information.
  • Assist with processing loan modifications, tracks and collects financial reporting, covenant compliance, collateral requirements.
  • Confirm the accuracy of risk ratings and changes as warranted.
  • Develop solutions and alternative to modifications, including financial covenant structuring.
  • Engage with existing customers on a specific financial analysis or account management issue.
  • Responsible for responding to questions from Credit independently.
  • Identify opportunities to cross sell bank products and services to existing customers.
  • Work diligently in managing assigned credits to present information in an organized manner.
  • Responsible for managing the existing portfolio of straightforward credits/customers through verification and analysis of financial and collateral information.
  • Use independent judgment and discretion to complete the CPS, terms and conditions and appendices, cash flow coverage, collateral coverage worksheets, spreads, risk rating and profitability models for assigned credits for straightforward loans.
  • Prepare relationship data on commercial customers/prospects and accurately identifies total bank exposure.
  • Work with an assigned group of PMs in support of the activities noted above for moderately complex credits.
  • Interpret financial statements and make recommendations based on the analysis completed and will advise findings to PM or RM.
  • Answer financial analysis or modeling questions for other credit analysts.
  • Work Independently to complete a whole AR or UW.
  • Handle multiple accounts on your own, engages in 1:1 client contact, actively participates in risk discussions.
