In this role, you will play a key part in both the financial and operational performance of our national portfolio. You will be responsible for analyzing property-level financials, tracking key performance metrics, and supporting strategies that enhance asset value and drive long-term returns.

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years real estate experience required
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in asset management and/or operations in the multifamily asset class
Knowledge and experience with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program gained from asset management, operations or development.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work cross-departmental through Fairstead’s different verticals
Financial modeling (Microsoft Excel) and analytical skills
Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.
Yardi and RealPage experience
Team – oriented, organized, strong project management skills and follow-through
25% travel required

Knowledge of the NYC residential and retail rental market a plus

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough financial analysis, including cash flow projections, budgeting, and financial modeling to evaluate the performance and potential of each property.
Create and manage asset-level business plans including execution of identified initiatives throughout the calendar year
Work closely with affiliated management company to devise and carry out property strategies and business plans for each property, including site visits
Assist with communications and reporting with lenders, investors, and third-party owners
Complete RFPs and other tasks related to third party property management opportunities
Responsible for the portfolio roll-out and operations of ancillary business ventures
Review asset performance to identify revenue opportunities and expense saving projects across Fairstead’s portfolio
Work with compliance department to ensure properties are in good standing
Prepare ad hoc internal performance reports and updates for senior management, investment, and other stakeholders
Present investment strategies, financial analyses, and portfolio performance in a clear and concise manner
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, property management teams and outside brokers
Assist with making recommendations for refinancing, disposition, or other capital events to achieve determined financial milestones or outcomes.
