About The Position

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • New Mexico Pharmacy Technician - New Mexico Board of Pharmacy upon hire, Or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License upon hire, Or Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
  • Inpatient experience
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
