The Associate Pharmacy Care Technician will effectively support the successful implementation and execution of all pharmacy programs and processes. The Associate Pharmacy Care Technician will provide support to the pharmacy staff to ensure applicable program processes and operational responsibilities are met. This position will also provide support in troubleshooting any member issues identified by the pharmacy staff during member outreach calls. May serve as a subject matter expert the Pharmacy team. Schedule: A 37.5 hour work week, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Location: 855 State Route 17M, Monroe, NY 10950

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of computer proficiency experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Completion of related BOCES program OR 6+ months of experience in a medical environment (in a professional or educational setting)

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Verifies medication stock and updates inventory data in our purchasing system to maintain inventory records within our central pharmacy
  • Responsible for central inventory stock rotation and filling stock requests for the different areas of the practice
  • Monitors backorders and works with other departments to find substitutions
  • Monitors department usages and is responsible for distribution of bulk orders
  • Assists the central mixing Pharmacists with administrative tasks, as needed to maintain compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
