How we LEAD: We are looking for an Associate, HR Business Partner (also known as our Associate, People Business Partner) to provide generalist support across several North American labels and business units. The role is critical in executing our people and culture initiatives, assisting with employee-relations inquiries, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence, compliance, and process improvement for the business. All that in service of creating a best-in-class employee experience. How you’ll CREATE: Act as “one stop shop” contact for all people related inquiries within a matrixed HR business partner model with several centers of excellence Provide guidance to managers and employees on general HR topics, policies and processes Assist managers with job descriptions, job leveling and promotion/compensation recommendations Support company-wide and function-specific HR initiatives and programs, including annual compensation review/bonus process, employee pulse surveys, new employee onboarding, absence and leave administration, team-engagement efforts Support effective resolution of employee relations matters. Participate in and contribute to HR projects and special projects Manage onboarding & offboarding related processes Analyze employment trends and share with the broader Business Partner team Create custom reports, spreadsheets, project plans, presentation and other documentation to support HR initiatives Recommend process improvements and highlight opportunities for increased consistency and effectiveness across teams Duties, responsibilities and client groups that you work with may change and evolve based on business needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience, including some combination of knowledge or experience in HR practices, policies & procedures, employee relations, and state and federal labor law
  • Comfortable being “visible” (virtually and in-office) to employees; pro-actively seeking out interactions and building internal relationships experience with answering general employee questions on a day-to-day basis
  • Self-starter mentality with a focus on continuous improvement and a progressive, solution-based approach to HR
  • Ability to exhibit an internal customer service mindset and sustain quick responsiveness
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively interface with individuals at various levels of the organization and provide appropriate counseling and feedback as necessary
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong software skills including Workday, Microsoft 365
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and willingness to work hard to contribute to the successful implementation of our strategic initiatives and programs
  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively on a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a 4/1 hybrid work model (4 days in-office)

  • BS/BA in Business or Human Resources Management or related field desirable.
