Reliant Medical Group (Primary Care for Adult Medicine) has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Service Specialist to join our team. The Associate Patient Service Specialist is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals. Location: 378 Maple Ave Shrewsbury, MA Hours: Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:45am - 5pm EST. Schedule will be determined upon hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience working in a high-paced environment (can include customer service, call center and/or healthcare experience)
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:45am - 5pm EST. Schedule will be determined upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting (i.e. Urgent Care, Specialty)
  • Experience with EPIC/electronic medical record systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
  • Self-starter with effective multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic level of knowledge with Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Primarily call center environment in a patient clinic team-based setting
  • Handling outgoing phone calls
  • Message management in EMR (electronic management record) system
  • Providing direct administrative support to the practice and within a care team
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Organizing and completing patient forms and letters
  • Updating patient information
  • Insurance verification
  • Obtaining prior authorizations for exams/testing
  • Collaboration with medical providers, nurses, medical assistants and ancillary staff
  • Problem solving patient issues/requests
  • Providing coverage for check-in/check-out patients
