About The Position

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by serving as the first point of contact. This position involves completing set processes and protocols while collaborating with the care team to meet financial, clinical, and service goals. The coordinator is responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and providing essential support to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish).
• Knowledge/understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Independent means of transportation during work hours for job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for patients, setting the tone for a positive experience.
• Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care in interactions.
• Schedules appointments and procedures according to standard guidelines.
• Utilizes multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
• Verifies patient information and documents it in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
• Advises patients on their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information.
