About The Position
The role of Associate Pastor is to contribute and contextualize themission and vision of Summit View Church through Gospel -centeredleadership. This Associate will oversee adult ministries, preach, and bea major voice in the organizational development of Westside. This rolewill play a major part in equipping and empowering those within theWestside community as a whole. This pastor will have a dynamic range ofresponsibilities, including but not limited to the following: developand foster the spiritual development of adults at Summit View Westside,regular Sunday preaching, and assisting the Local Lead Pastor in theequipping of staff and volunteers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 -year undergraduate degree
- Proven track record of building healthy and God glorifying ministries
- Strong calling to ministry
- Ability to recruit, train, and maintain volunteers
- Live out the example of servant leadership set forth by Jesus
- Ability to think creatively and act as a self -starter
Responsibilities
- Working with the Local Lead Pastor to execute vision and give oversight of Life Groups at the Westside Campus
- Coordinate and lead volunteers in quarterly outreach opportunities
- Preaching in large group gatherings as needed
- Assisting the Local Lead Pastor in organizational development
- Teaching small group classes as needed
- Pastoral visits as needed
- Weddings, funerals, baptism, and communion duties as needed
- Coordination of community outreach and service
- Equip and empower adults in the discovery of their giftings and passions in order to serve the Lord more effectively
