About The Position

The Associate Pastor of Outreach at First Baptist Powell is responsible for providing pastoral and theological care for the church's outreach efforts. This role involves overseeing outreach initiatives in alignment with the church's mission to make disciples and fostering a culture of evangelism within the community. The Associate Pastor will work closely with church leadership to ensure cohesive and unified outreach strategies that reflect the church's theological teachings and values.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him.
  • Commitment to moral purity and the mission of First Baptist Powell.
  • Meets the character qualifications of an elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
  • M.Div or equivalent required with a minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for evangelism and missions.
  • Commitment to disciple other followers of Christ.
  • Pastoral ministry characterized by grace, patience, and commitment to God's Word.
  • Demonstrated personal life characterized by evangelism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral and gospel-motivated care for the members of First Baptist Powell.
  • Participate in the responsibilities of an elder once appointed.
  • Contribute to the biblical/theological education of church members through preaching and teaching.
  • Develop relationships with lost individuals to effectively pursue the Great Commission.
  • Provide pastoral and theological leadership for outreach staff and volunteers.
  • Resource and develop outreach staff members.
  • Meet regularly with outreach staff to provide care, establish goals, and evaluate needs.
  • Ensure coherence and collaboration between all outreach efforts.
  • Oversee local evangelism and develop strategies for mobilizing church members.
  • Oversee local engagement efforts to build relationships with unchurched individuals.
  • Oversee national and international missions efforts and support mission partners.

  • Full-time position with a competitive salary range of $54.4K - $68.9K per year.
