About the position

The Parts Associate at CTI Foods is responsible for managing inventory control and work order activities within the maintenance department. This role focuses on sourcing quality parts, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring that repairs can be completed without delay. The Parts Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team by providing accurate records and reports, while also promoting food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing quality parts at the right price and evaluating suppliers for replacement parts.
• Managing inventory based on prescribed minimum and maximum quantities.
• Maintaining stock levels to ensure timely repairs without delays.
• Keeping accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
• Issuing maintenance purchase orders and receiving parts in the inventory control system.
• Maintaining equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
• Placing and expediting orders for necessary equipment and supplies.
• Providing mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Preparing mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
• Promoting and adhering to food safety and quality standards.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience and/or training.
