Who You Are & What You’ll Do: You will be responsible for delivering the key packaging activities to land Innovations, Cost Savings, Business Continuity and Sustainability programs. You will manage multiple package development projects and prioritize tasks based on timelines. The right candidate will have the ability to deliver effectively in a cross-functional team environment, by working with Brand, Planning, Product Group R&D, Procurement, Quality, and material suppliers. The position will interface with Manufacturing and Supply Chain for packaging related projects including line trials, production start-ups, cost savings, improving line efficiencies related to packaging, as well as resolving documentation issues for specifications. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams composed of individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds and perspectives is essential.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Packaging Science, or engineering equivalent with experience in the packaging field preferred.
  • Experience with regards to rigid plastic technology and distribution/transit testing.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of package development process and engineering principles.
  • Must demonstrate ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, Brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain Packaging commitments to project scheduling.
  • Must understand consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution.

Responsibilities
