About The Position

As an Associate Structural - Transmission Line Engineer you will have the opportunity to support global transmission projects performing design engineering and analysis of transmission line work. You will support large, extensive 345kV+ rebuild and greenfield projects, including trending technologies like HVDC and 765kV. Your role will involve collecting and assimilating data for engineering work, performing research, and preparing calculations in accordance with Black & Veatch and industry standards. You will develop recommendations for equipment and materials while understanding and working successfully within budget, project schedule, and quality requirements. Additionally, you may assist with providing guidance to engineering team members and maintain positive client relations through effective communication with the project team.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program.
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with utility-scale projects.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, LPile, MFAD, Sag10 or Ultralite.
  • Basic structural steel and concrete experience using 3D analysis and design software.
  • Solid experience using EXCEL or similar spreadsheets and MathCAD design templates.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.
