Associate Operator  The successful Associate Operator will demonstrate strong communication skills and a real commitment to their quality of work, ensuring a superior customer experience, with a key focus on safety, quality and cleanliness.  The focus of this position is the production and packaging of completed film for the food industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Must successfully complete required skills assessment/testing.
  • Must be able to work in a moderately heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work on a 3-day rotating 12-hour shift (3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 3 off, repeat) and overtime as required/scheduled.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Must be able to withstand continuous periods of moving, walking, bending, stooping, keeling, twisting motion, climbing and descending stairs and ladders in an effort to perform most tasks.
  • Must be mentally sharp and quick to respond.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions.
  • Must understand basic computer skills and perform “daily” data entry tasks/requirements.
  • Must be able to operate a fork truck and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

  • Package and movement of completed film products.
  • Weigh and label film by following operation instructions.
  • Perform audits to ensure packaging integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Effective communicates with others.
  • Operates equipment.
  • Works to resolve quality issues, equipment problems, or people issues until an adequate solution is attained.
  • Perform assigned Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations (GMP) activities in the individual’s work area as defined.
  • Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.
  • Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.
  • Operates a variety material handling vehicles and equipment.
  • Completes all required safety activities as outlined in plant safety rules.
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to succeed and develop within the company.
  • Perform assigned GMP activities in the individual’s work area as defined.
  • Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.
  • Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
