About The Position

The Associate Operator – Outbound Logistics is responsible for supporting outbound warehouse operations to ensure accurate, safe, and timely shipment of finished goods. This includes preparing and staging orders, performing quality checks, operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), loading carriers, and ensuring pallets are properly prepared for shipping. The associate operator will also support the proper handling and shipment of sensitive and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations. The associate operator will work closely with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure smooth outbound flow and on-time delivery.   At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Requirements

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic with safety mindset
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Prior warehouse or logistics experience with prior experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks
  • Ability to follow SOPs, safety standards, and shipping requirements, including those related to sensitive and hazardous materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shift
  • Willingness to work OT as needed

Responsibilities

  • Order picking and verification for outbound shipments
  • Quality control checks to ensure order accuracy and completeness
  • Operation of powered industrial trucks (PIT), including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks, in accordance with safety policies and procedures
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and communication with logistics and transportation teams
  • Identifying and communicating shipping issues, damages, or discrepancies
  • Proper pallet building, wrapping, labeling, and preparation for shipping, handling, staging, and shipping of sensitive and hazardous materials in compliance with DOT and internal safety requirements (training provided upon hire)
