About The Position

The Associate Operator, Blending/Split position at DSM-Firmenich involves working on the 2nd shift in New Ulm, MN, where the operator will be responsible for various tasks related to the blending and splitting of ingredients used in the production of flavors and scents. Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Prior experience handling chemicals.
• Minimum 1-3 years of packing compounding experience and understanding of special formula instructions.
• Knowledge of G.M.P's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Forklift experience and ability to be on your feet up to 90% of the day.
• Ability to lift a 35 lb product hose and frequently move, lift, pull & push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control and exposure to outside temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment during wash-ups and reassembly.
• Clean and sanitize rooms as needed.
• Titrate chemicals as needed.
• Participate in washing functions during wash times in all areas.
• Accurately package product and perform Quality Control checks, HACCP checks, and sampling requirements.
• Move full pallets using the pallet jack and perform all necessary duties of packing powder into bags/super sacs.
• Perform all Quality Control and Safety duties.
