Job Description: • All Associate Operations Support Specialists • Assist with maintaining department processes, tools, and metrics • Populate procedures & protocol details into planning tools • Assist in reviewing proposals and protocols to identify requirements • Identifies changes and assists with communication to affected teams • Operations Support Associates will primarily focus on tasks within their designated sub-team. However, they may also be called upon to support additional sub-teams as needed, ensuring flexibility and comprehensive support across the department. • Startup Coordination • Monitor procedure calendars and communicate startups updates to affected teams • Interpret planning data to build daily worksheets • Support the building and release of forms to operations teams • Assists in scheduling study exams • Animal Management/Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Administration • Assist with scheduling study start activities • May assist with the assignment and ordering of animals • Handle IACUC submissions and records • Prepare resources for and attend IACUC meetings. Compile meeting minutes • Specimen Management • Assist with creating specimen labels and managing specimen inventory • Transport specimens between buildings, ensuring documentation and storage requirements are met • Perform monitoring and preventative maintenance activities on equipment • Assist with preparing routine local and domestic shipments of specimens • Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

  • One year of experience in an animal laboratory setting.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device research experience, with knowledge of and experience with operational processes and functions of a preclinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of AAALAC, USDA, FDA, ISO, USP, JMLWH and GLP regulations preferred.
