Associate, Operational Excellence

The Associate, Operational Excellence at HSS plays a crucial role in supporting the Operational Excellence (OE) team, which is dedicated to eliminating waste and redesigning operations to enhance patient experiences. This position is essential for the overall success of OE programs, reporting directly to the Director of Operational Excellence. The Associate will engage in various projects across all OE verticals, taking on both analytical and project leadership responsibilities. This role involves building, monitoring, and maintaining data for key operational processes and strategic programs, while also supporting multidisciplinary project teams focused on process improvement efforts. The OE team is highly visible within the organization, working closely with clinical and business leaders to drive long-term results. The Associate will be responsible for performing observations, interviews, and data analysis for key strategic initiatives, as well as designing and executing complex analyses and models to facilitate data-driven decision-making. The outputs of these analyses will be translated into impactful, leadership-ready materials tailored to various audiences, fostering discussions across multiple stakeholders. In addition to analytical support, the Associate will assist in developing performance metrics, conducting current and future state assessments, and performing root cause analyses. Recommendations will be presented in a manner conducive to decision-making, ensuring that the OE team can effectively implement best practice performance standards. This role requires a proactive approach to project success, leveraging both technical and leadership skills to quantify the impact of identified business opportunities and design actionable plans for execution.
