About The Position

The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM)-Inpatient Unit acts as an extension of the Nurse Manager (NM) and is responsible for ensuring excellent patient care and professional nursing practices. The Premier Health division of nursing utilizes the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) framework for NM competencies. Under the guidance of the NM, the ANM-Inpatient facilitates the strategic implementation of the Premier Health nursing vision by overseeing a care team that delivers high-quality nursing care. This role requires strong human resource leadership skills and a commitment to diversity, fostering an inclusive and culturally competent environment for both staff and patients. In collaboration with the NM, the ANM-Inpatient supports and drives change within the dynamic healthcare environment. Key priorities for the ANM-Inpatient include employee engagement, patient experience, and quality outcomes, achieved by supporting the NM through coaching and mentoring the nursing team. The primary focus of this position is supervising staff and providing leadership presence as an extension of the NM. The ANM-Inpatient also applies nursing leadership principles to human resource management, such as ensuring adequate staffing for care delivery while adhering to productivity standards. Furthermore, performance improvement activities are crucial, including supporting the patient experience through daily nurse leader rounding and executing quality action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid Ohio RN License
  • Current BLS
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience as an RN
