Provide complete, 1st-level NOC support of network and IT systems technologies as part of NFF’s managed services practice. Monitor and respond to network and system hardware and software alerts. Perform client specific actions, such as running scripts or commands on client-based systems and recording the output results to aid in issue diagnosis. Interface with clients and vendor support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded performance. Troubleshoot network and system outage or performance issues. Analyze network traffic to provide incident triage and/or root cause identification. Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network and system faults and degraded performance. Interface with managed services clients for communication of alerts, issue impact, and ongoing status of active incidents. Utilize NFF and/or client specific ticketing tools for incident management, tracking and close out. Assist with internal IT projects and support needs as part of Corporate Engineering Team.

  • Hands on experience with either Windows or Linux System Administration.
  • Ability to work with customers to gather, analyze and validate reported issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Dedicated remote work/office environment, free of interruptions.
  • US Citizen (residing in the US).
  • Associate level knowledge of Cisco enterprise solutions.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring protocols and methods (SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical discipline.
  • Experience with Cyber Security tools & platform at an enterprise level.
  • Microsoft Active Directory configuration and integration experience.
  • Microsoft O365 Administration and Support.
  • Microsoft InTune Administration and Support.
  • Linux, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Expect and other scripting and automation techniques.
  • Technical Certifications in software development or any of the following vendors: Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, Riverbed, Splunk, VMware.
