The Product Operations Planner will partner with cross-functional, Global Teams and support the New Product Development (NPD) Process from End to End for the Tools & Outdoor Segment. This position is responsible for driving global business decisions pertaining to product changes (new/existing) and overall operational improvements. To ensure customer satisfaction, this role will strongly utilize data analytics to drive operational excellence. In coordination with internal business partners and regional execution teams, this role will be the primary liaison for supply chain/operations within assigned sub business unit for projects. As the supply chain lead, he/she will be critical to the execution of these projects and must develop robust supply chain strategies to ensure on-time delivery. This will also include Continuous Improvement Initiatives relative to the Business Unit Goals. Maintain NPI tracker linked to business requirements & supply chain alignment Responsible to ensure all business functions engaged, informed, and following Product timelines according to Milestone Process Communicate timeline constraints and operational mitigations plans to the business. Act as a liaison between Business Unit and Operations/Supply Chain tied to NPD as well as normal business processes. Conduct analytics to create detailed analysis of supply chain optimization initiatives to reduce total cost and lead time. Analyze supply chain constraints and assist in developing lean strategies to drive sustainability & flexibility. Maintain centralized New Product Master and Volume Tracker to support planning across functions: Demand/Supply Planning, Finance, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing/Sales, and Operations. Aid in managing inventory needs to ensure customer’s demand and commitments are satisfied for promised sales. Interface across the Delivery/Development pillars; Sourcing, Operations, Channel Marketing, Product Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Program Managers – to communicate and focus on the following: Sourcing/Operations: 3 year capacity requirements, lead-time reduction opportunities, prebuild requirements, gap analysis, E&O consumption opportunity Program Managers: Launch readiness, timely escalation of risks to network timelines through S&OP process. Evaluate what-if planning scenarios as needed
