About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Associate Navigation Engineer to support the Direct Attack programs in Saint Charles, MO. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with common programming languages.
• Experience with developing or using modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of estimation theory (e.g. Kalman filtering).
• Knowledge of GPS receiver operation.
• Knowledge of inertial navigation.

Responsibilities

• Use and update existing navigation models and simulation tools to predict navigation performance and develop navigation algorithms.
• Develop test program and utilize data to improve navigation models and system performance.
• Support evaluation of new navigation sensors by preparing and conducting van tests, lab tests, and reviewing collected data.
• Support flight testing to measure/validate navigation performance relative to design requirements and troubleshoot operational/service anomalies regarding delivered products.
• Collect and analyze data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Support project management by preparing and presenting project status data.
• Write simple sections of proposals to support development of new business.
