About The Position

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a Associate Metals and Assembly Technical Analyst, to join our team in the greater St. Louis area in Berkeley, Missouri. This person will be working on the assembly team supporting the 777X program. They will work close with the production team in support daily operations. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

• Experience as an Analyst
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with fastener installation
• Experience reading and interpreting specifications and process requirements
• Experience in manufacturing environment and various assembly techniques

Responsibilities

• Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products
• Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers
• Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications
• Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures, engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes
• Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
• Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes
• Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers
• Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
• Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.
