About The Position

What you'll do... What You’ll Do Supplier Negotiations & Vendor Management Provide administrative support to merchants during supplier negotiations. Manage purchase orders with suppliers, merchants, and other vendors for assigned categories/sub‑categories. Support the setup of new suppliers for both stores and online. Category Administration Resolve supplier issues and obtain missing item-related information to ensure accurate item setup. Support activity planning, store training, and store communications for assigned categories. Shopper & Customer Experience Execute customer communication and education programs in stores. Collaborate with the modular team to support category planning. Own search query management for assigned categories. Ensure accuracy and quality of online product page content while following taxonomy guidelines. Partner with Site Merchandising on homepage campaigns and implement rules for search result filtering. Omnichannel Customer Focus Analyze customer behavior across channels (demand trends, buying behaviors, consumption patterns). Guide suppliers and vendors in developing customer-focused products, processes, and improvements. Budgeting & Forecasting Track category/subcategory performance against financial targets. Create reports analyzing subcategory performance versus overall business results. Support forecasting expectations and provide inputs for budgeting at the subcategory level. Coordinate with planners and analysts on financial planning and inventory needs. Features & Promotions Develop and execute approved proposals for store and online features. Implement monthly category themes and support modular strategy recommendations. Data & Digital Acumen Use data analysis tools to perform basic statistical analysis and derive actionable insights. Build visualizations to communicate data stories and influence decisions. Identify and support implementation of relevant technology improvements. Item Setup & Maintenance Support decisions on item configuration for eCommerce and store ordering. Contribute to item cross-referencing and provide recommendations. Manage sample processes for imagery and support accurate item setup. Pricing Support COOP agreements as needed. Provide recommendations on base and adjusted prices for non‑defensive replenishable items. Modular & Assortment Planning Support implementation of modular layout principles alongside the modular team. Assist with walkthrough execution and post‑walkthrough adjustments. Provide recommendations for corporate quantities of committed‑buy and allocated items. Contribute to decisions on item sharing and replenishment and support the determination of finalized mods. Collaboration, Leadership & Compliance Provide expert advice and apply best practices to improve action plans and align efforts with business needs. Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify needs, execute processes, monitor results, and drive improvements. Model compliance with company policies, values, and ethics—using the Open Door Policy and supporting others in proper execution of business processes. What You’ll Bring Strong organizational and administrative skills to support merchant and supplier activities. Ability to manage purchase orders and oversee item setup with accuracy and attention to detail. Experience collaborating across cross‑functional teams (e.g., modular, site merchandising, planning). Understanding of omnichannel customer behavior and ability to translate insights into category improvements. Analytical skills with the ability to use data tools, run basic statistical analysis, and produce clear reports. Skill in using visualization tools to create compelling data stories. Comfort supporting financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. Ability to manage pricing recommendations, modular planning, and assortment-related decisions.
