About the Merchandising Team The Merchandising team is at the center of Walmart’s business, connecting customer needs with innovative products and strong supplier partnerships. Associate Merchants work cross functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Planning, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to shape category direction and execute against business goals. This team balances data driven decision making with creativity and customer insight, ensuring products are not only competitive but differentiated in the marketplace. Your work will directly influence customer experience, financial performance, and long term category growth

Requirements

  • Demonstrated professional judgment in decision‑making, prioritization, and performance analysis
  • A strong execution mindset, consistently driving results against defined objectives
  • The ability to plan ahead while continuously identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Adaptability and creativity when navigating change or solving complex business challenges
  • Proven skill in building trusted, collaborative relationships across functions and with external partners
  • 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute category strategy, managing budgets and priorities to drive profitable growth and enhance the customer experience
  • Make end‑to‑end merchandising decisions across assortment, pricing, replenishment, modulars, and supply chain
  • Build and influence strong partnerships with suppliers, vendors, and cross‑functional Walmart teams
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Sourcing to design, develop, and launch Private Brand products
  • Leverage customer and category insights to anticipate what’s next and continuously improve performance
