About The Position

As the Associate Merchant of DTC - Team Sports, you will be responsible for defining and managing the merchandising vision and business strategy for our DTC channels, reporting to the Director of DTC Merchandising. Your role involves optimizing product assortment and architecture to maximize revenue and profit, preparing and facilitating line reviews, and creating a merchandising flow calendar that highlights key items, trends, and product launches. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement pricing and promotional strategies, partner on floor planograms and site merchandising, and lead a POD of cross functional partners. This role requires strong understanding of the marketplace, curiosity and enthusiasm for the Team Sports athlete and the ability to analyze sales and consumer trends to optimize the business within the season.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant merchandising, merchandising operations, product, or product operations experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company, demonstrating proven career growth and increased responsibility.
  • Retail or DTC Merchandising experience.
  • Ability to lead & influence cross-functional partners through strong and proven relationships.
  • Ability to communicate operational processes and best practices verbally and in writing.
  • Consummate collaborator, effective communicator, consensus-builder and influencer.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and define Team Sports strategy for DTC Brand House and Digital Marketplace channels.
  • Assort and present compelling and athlete focused assortments for Team Sports.
  • Enhance SKU productivity and clarity within Channel Assortments.
  • Own calendar of drops and activations within Team Sports, Quickturn and Licensed calendars.
  • Operate and maintain Merchandising systems for the business.
  • Analyze the marketplace competition, price-points, commercial needs and anticipate future trends.
  • Partner with Global Product, Product Merchandising and Regional Merchandising teams to identify new growth opportunities and potential revenue streams.
  • Lead cross functional Team Sports Channel PODs including Planning, Site Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Allocation, Marketing and Commercial Teammates.
  • Convey clear understanding of seasonal sales data, business metrics, and sku targets to guide increased article productivity, growth and channel fiscal plans.
