About The Position
The Associate Merchandiser, Jackets/Outerwear at KnitWell Group plays a crucial role in the execution of departmental strategies and business objectives within the Separates category. This position involves collaborating closely with the lead Merchandiser to translate information and ideas into actionable business plans. The Associate Merchandiser is tasked with managing daily merchandising responsibilities, which include accurately building, editing, and maintaining assortment sheets, reconciling and updating receipts, and ensuring sample accuracy and handoff. Effective communication with the Cross-Functional team is essential to ensure timely updates and information sharing. In addition to these responsibilities, the Associate Merchandiser will conduct thorough research on fashion trends, price points, and promotional opportunities. This includes gathering competitive information regarding pricing, styles, and key messaging, and making informed recommendations based on this research. Building strong relationships with Cross-Functional partners, including Design, Technical Design, Planning, Sourcing, and Marketing, is vital for success in this role. The Associate Merchandiser must also demonstrate a strong awareness of the retail landscape to effectively contribute to the department's goals. Overall, this position is integral to achieving and exceeding the financial plan for the Jackets category by supporting the execution of departmental strategies and business objectives. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent follow-through skills and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining a focus on the customer experience.
