About The Position

The Verification Member Advocate position at eHealth is a seasonal role focused on providing exceptional customer service to existing members during the post-enrollment journey. Advocates will handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, assisting members with their health insurance plans and ensuring a positive experience. This role is crucial for enhancing member satisfaction and retention, contributing to eHealth's mission of guiding consumers through their health insurance options.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or similar environment.
  • Ability to handle high call volumes and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using a dialer and other computer applications.
  • High speed hardwired home internet connection with 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
  • High level of integrity and customer focus.
  • Comfortable with desktop computers, including knowledge of Office applications and web browsing.
  • Ability to work any shift between the hours of 5:00AM PST and 11:00PM PST.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound customer service calls from existing members, addressing questions about their plans and resolving issues between carrier and member.
  • Assist members with questions related to their current plan, explaining benefits included in their plan and how to use them.
  • Answer outbound calls from a dialer and complete post-enrollment activities, helping members utilize their plan benefits.
  • Accurately use the script on screen and tools provided to find client information, answer questions about members' plans, and document notes and outcomes of interactions.
