About The Position

Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Associate Medical Physicist to join the team. This role is Full-Time Monday through Friday Day Shift. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Physical Science
• Certification - With time in work experience is eligible to take American board of radiology certification
• License - Applicant is eligible to submit to become a VA State inspector in the subject specialty.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains contacts with physicists in other practices.
• Confers with physicians throughout Inova systems regarding patient dosages, regarding equipment evaluation and quality assurance.
• Cooperates and adhere to regulatory agencies (state and federal) in demonstrating compliance with applicable rules and recommendations.
• Confers with vendors or equipment used in practice (i.e. linear accelerators, MRI, CT etc.) concerning purchase specifications, acceptance rules and regulations.
• Discusses with patients and other members of the public radiation exposure with medical procedures.
• Confers with physicians in subspecialties in all patient uses in ionizing radiation.
• Provides Medical Physics coverage as deemed appropriate to the sub specialty (i.e.. Radiation Therapy, Cardiac Cath.)
