The Associate Medical Director provides both direct patient care and clinical leadership in support of ACG Health’s mission and strategic priorities. This role includes a combination of direct patient care and administrative, leadership, and program oversight responsibilities. Working closely with the current Medical Director and senior leadership team, the incumbent plays a key role in clinical operations, quality improvement, and program development. Compensation is determined based on experience and qualifications. In certain circumstances, offers may fall outside of the listed range. Clinical Care & Leadership Provide comprehensive primary care services, including medical histories and physical examinations, diagnostic testing, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescribing as appropriate. Manage complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or urgent medical conditions in collaboration with other healthcare providers. Document all clinical services accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Participate in the on-call schedule as required. Refer patients to internal services and external providers to address medical, behavioral health, social service, insurance, transportation, and specialty care needs. Serve as a clinical resource and role model for providers, supporting high-quality, patient-centered care. Administrative & Medical Leadership Support oversight of clinical care delivery across all ACG service areas in collaboration with the Medical Director. Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of clinical services and programs. Meet regularly with the Programs Director to review progress toward goals and deliverables of HIV-related grants and initiatives. Participate in monthly provider meetings. Train and educate clinical staff on new guidelines, prevention strategies, medications, and emerging trends in care. Supervise and collaborate with medical providers to ensure care is consistent with current clinical guidelines and applicable practice acts. Maintain required collaborative agreements with ACG Health medical practitioners. Identify emerging clinical and public health issues and contribute to strategic planning and new initiatives aligned with ACG’s strategic plan. Serve as a liaison with local and regional health departments and community partners. Attend management meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and all applicable laws, regulations, and ACG policies. Foster positive, collaborative working relationships across departments and support a culture of accountability, equity, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. This role is intended to support long-term clinical leadership continuity and offers the opportunity to assume expanded responsibilities, including potential transition into the Medical Director role.
