About The Position

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly motivated person to function as a Midlevel Mechanical Engineer in the design of mechanical systems supporting Nuclear Power Generation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams across the US and abroad Under general supervision, perform all aspects of mechanical system design engineering and analysis for assigned systems of responsibility. Acquire knowledge of both Black & Veatch and industry standards and implement them in project development Prepare moderately complex engineering deliverables, conduct research, and develop project design recommendations Black & Veatch is engaged with securing nuclear energy’s future through our commitment to the current operating fleet and to the new build market, including the latest advanced reactor designs. Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Engineering-in-training (EIT)
  • This position supports Black & Veatch project work with the U.S. Federal Government. As a result, U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
