This Position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in the US.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Entry level position for 4-year engineering degree holders with 0-2 years of experience
  • Experience with low complexity orders and mechanical designs
  • Proficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer-aided design platform
  • Experience with 3D design including use of Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design platforms
  • Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill, and other applicable software
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of creativity
  • Complex problem-solving skills
  • Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Authorized to legally work in the US
  • Ability to work in a global business environment with cultural diversity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with steel or copper fabrication
  • Experience with electrical distribution equipment
  • Computer Aided Design certification or degree
  • Internship or co-op experience in mechanical design or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear
  • Familiarity with NEC, ANSI, IEEE standards

Responsibilities

  • Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
  • Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
  • Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.
  • Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
  • Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
