This site is L3Harris -Aerojet Rocketdyne’s center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs. Conduct a variety of tasks supporting the quality control laborato Set up and conduct tests/experimental procedures in accordance with specification requirements under environmentally controlled conditions (temperature, humidity, environment, etc) Design experiments and conduct tests in a controlled fashion to be able to produce consistent, repeatable results in a meaningful way Assist in data reduction and report generation The role will be supporting rocket propulsion materials and process development. After orientation and training, new hire will perform entry-level engineering assignments under direct supervision of other engineers following established procedures and policies. The positions will support senior engineering staff and provide experience and familiarization with our programs, processes and products. Projects may include materials engineering support for propellant development and production manufacturing and test, assisting in the selection of materials and formulations for product application, tailoring of the propellant formulation to the design allowable from literature and experimental data, the performance of material/propellant properties to the design allowable, and the generation of technical reports and presentations to document technical conclusions/findings.

Requirements

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory analysis of chemicals, energetic, and non-energetic materials utilizing various scientific instruments, and other testing as required.
