About The Position

The Associate Material Handler position at ProAmpac involves working in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment within the flexible packaging industry. The role is essential for monitoring production machines, managing raw materials, and ensuring efficient operations. The position offers a unique schedule of 12-hour shifts with a 4 on/4 off rotation, allowing employees to work only half the year while enjoying various benefits and incentives.

Requirements

• Ability to operate heavy equipment/machinery safely.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and squatting.
• Ability to walk or stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all production machines and stock with raw materials and work-in-process as needed, using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Use hand-held scanners and desktop computers for maintaining machine schedules, transferring material, and processing paperwork.
• Receive raw materials using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Ship finished goods using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Pump resin from hopper cars to silo.
• Remove, sort, and recycle scrap waste.
• Perform other housekeeping and/or manufacturing-related functions as required by Management.
• Drive the company-owned/leased truck between plant locations.
