About The Position

L3Harris MMG Division is seeking for a Mass Properties Engineer for our onsite facility located in Waco, TX. We offer competitive benefits and a generous relocation package for those who qualify. The Associate Mass Properties Engineer will be an integral member of the overall Flight Sciences team. He/she will be involved in the conduct of mass properties analyses related to aircraft modification programs. Individual will support the Lead W&B Engineer in preparing detailed analyses documenting the impact of modifications on overall aircraft mass properties characteristics. Individual will assist the Lead W&B Engineer in preparing thorough, well-written documentation, reports, and other forms of written communication in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Will participate in and will represent the Mass Properties Group on program teams, internal meetings and customer briefings. He/she will support the engineers in their conduct of analyses, including assisting with test events, weighing parts, recording data, etc. This individual will frequently interact with numerous other departments in carrying out assigned duties. He/she will be involved in the day-to-day support of the aircraft Weight & Balance data/logbooks, including participation in and updates for aircraft inventories, modifications, and weighings. Sets the highest ethical standards. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, Math or Physics or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Responsibilities

Involved in the day-to-day support of the aircraft Weight & Balance data/logbooks, including participation in and updates for aircraft inventories, modifications, and weighings.
