Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join Space Launch System program at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana owned by NASA. Boeing works at this site building the largest rocket in history in the world. The project will eventually take the world to Mars.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
  • 2+ years of experience with production engineering.
  • Willing to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer's needs.
  • Masters degree.
  • Manufacturing engineering experience on the Space Launch Systems Program.
