About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Associate Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly & Installation to support the 777X program in Berkeley, MO. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of related engineering experience
  • Experience in Lean Process implementation
  • Prior engineering experience in a manufacturing or production role

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience with 3D model-based instruction
  • Experience with any of the following: CATIA, Teamcenter/IPDM/VisMockup, IBI Cognos
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans
  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies
  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
