About The Position

The Associate Manager, Sustainability & Social Impact Reporting at Vita Coco will oversee the daily management of data related to sustainability and social impact initiatives. This role is crucial in tracking the company's progress against its impact goals, including environmental metrics and social impact reporting. The position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate data collection and compliance with reporting standards, contributing to the overall strategy of the company.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Data Science, ESG Reporting & Metrics, or Sustainability Program Management.
  • Deep knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI, SASB, CSRD).
  • Experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., Workiva, EcoVadis).
  • Analytical and project management skills to handle complex data sets.
  • Clear understanding of calculating GHG emissions for scope 1, 2, and 3.
  • Understanding of environmental impacts of supply chains and agricultural communities.
  • Proficient communication skills on ESG issues.
  • Experience in sustainable communications and annual report copywriting is a plus.
  • Strong time-management skills and highly organized.

  • Degree in Sustainability, Social Impact or relevant field.
  • Experience in non-profit relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager of Sustainability & Social Impact on initiatives like the Vita Coco Project® and Seedlings for Sustainability.
  • Collaborate with departments to collect, validate, and analyze sustainability and social impact metrics.
  • Identify data gaps and create processes for data measurement and verification.
  • Develop processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Analyze projects supporting carbon footprint reduction and renewable energy with the operations team.
  • Prepare annual ESG data for impact reports aligned with frameworks such as GRI and SASB.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including SEC climate disclosures.
  • Monitor emerging ESG reporting standards and recommend updates to internal practices.
  • Manage internal ESG impact scorecard and track HR and Culture & Belonging program metrics.
  • Lead the management of ESG data management systems and support third-party verifications or audits.
  • Map and document systems and processes for ESG data points and support B Corp re-certification.
