The Associate Manager Strategic Sourcing is responsible for managing simple sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids, establishing contracts and relationships with new suppliers, managing low dollar renewals and extensions with existing suppliers, and working with stakeholders to navigate the procure-to-pay process. This role aims to achieve category goals and annual sourcing savings targets.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and help achieve their business strategies and objectives.
  • Execute sourcing strategies defined by Sourcing leadership that result in enhanced value, revenue, total-cost reduction, continuous improvement, and achieving savings targets.
  • Facilitate supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contracting process for suppliers, liaising with Staples Legal team on contract creation and execution.
  • Develop and execute small sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids.
  • Support procurement operations as needed; vendor setup, NDAs, contracts, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of procurement and sourcing or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate cost reduction savings.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems such as Coupa/ePAS.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP.
  • Experience in a multinational business environment.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software.
