About The Position

The Associate Manager, Packaging Development will play a crucial role in the Global Sourcing team at The Wonderful Company. This position involves overseeing the commercialization of packaging projects, collaborating with various internal departments and external vendors to ensure that packaging designs are effectively translated into production-ready files. The role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements in the food and beverage industry.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience with visual assets such as images, art files, and packaging materials.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong proofreading skills and keen eye for design.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide timely information.
  • Working knowledge of printing technologies and food labeling regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Suite software products.
  • Ability to master custom software systems used by the NPD Team.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with food labeling regulations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the European Union.
  • Experience in leading training sessions on software functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the commercialization of packaging portfolios across various business units.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure packaging designs are translated into production art files.
  • Lead the implementation of packaging graphics updates and communicate expectations to designers and vendors.
  • Facilitate stakeholder approvals to maintain consistency and excellence in packaging projects.
  • Establish standards for rendering kits used by retailers for online marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with food and beverage labeling regulations.
  • Provide prioritization guidance to graphics vendors and negotiate timeline adjustments as necessary.
  • Lead regular meetings with stakeholders regarding packaging art production projects.
  • Develop and monitor processes for workflow improvement and communication to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on NPD software tools and provide training to users.
  • Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the NPD Team.
