About The Position

As we continue to scale our Retail business, we're looking to hire a few Associate Managers to support key strategic growth initiatives and expand our retail presence in the US across multiple categories such as pets, beauty, flowers, office supplies, home improvement and more. You'll help shape DoorDash's retail strategy and drive growth across key categories. You may own category performance-expanding assortment, launching merchandising initiatives, and leading campaigns that deliver results. You may help bring top retail partners to the platform, managing launches from start to finish through our enterprise partner launch playbook. Working closely with Business Development, Product, and Operations teams, you'll turn strategy into seamless execution-fueling the next wave of retail innovation at DoorDash You'll be an individual contributor and report into a Senior Manager. We operate in a hybrid and spend a few days a month in person together! Since we are hiring a few retail team members, you will be considered for multiple roles at once throughout the interview process. Requirements

  • You have 4-6+ years of experience. You've succeeded in similar cultures that are highly analytical and cross-functional (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
  • You are an owner. You're always looking for opportunities to better your work and own the outcome and scale learnings through playbooks and SOPs
  • You're entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
  • You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in excel.
  • You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
  • You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments where you can be creative and scrappy.
  • You have a completed Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize. From first principles, by mapping selection whitespace by retailer type, geo, and category to unlock product availability for our customers
  • Operate. Stand up 0→1 pilots, build dashboards, manage week-over-week KPIs and turn wins into scalable processes.
  • Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate expansion opportunities and prioritize the next bets.
  • Build. Translate sales-cycles and GTM needs into requirements and co-lead product feature development
  • Lead, collaborate and Influence. You'll work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to unlock partnerships, growth and quality to scale retail presence across the country.
