About the position

The Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing strategies and implementing cost savings initiatives while guaranteeing the continuous supply and timely receipts of indirect materials and services for the Nampa and Traverse City plants and supporting some key indirect accounts. This role serves as the liaison between suppliers, factory teams, and commercial business operations. Responsibilities include generating and managing supply agreements, adhering to budgeted spend/costs, managing innovation transitions, and overseeing performance to ensure the highest quality and service from suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for forecasting and managing the flow of indirect materials and services for the U.S., supporting two manufacturing sites.
  • Analyze ERP data and production plans to accurately predict future material and service demand.
  • Negotiate and track contract adherence to agreed pricing and product/service availability and communicate risks and opportunities to supply chain coordinators and component planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall contract process to drive efficiency.
  • Develop strategies and implement the strategies for categories such as Spare Parts, MRO, Consumables, and indirect services for the factories.
  • Support the Engineering Team and the global CAPEX team in the sourcing process for both factories.
  • Develop a cross-functional relationship with other Business Units factory indirect team to share best practices and support in cross-company projects.
  • Manage natural gas contracts and/or hedging strategy.
  • Animate the category and set up Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  • Support CSR initiatives by onboarding new suppliers into the Ecovadis platform.
  • Channel requests, elevate local teams, and support them in creating strong Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Lead P2P and Legal Initiatives: Oversee P2P processes and legal projects to maintain efficient and compliant operations.
  • Implement clear authority and accountability processes within the portfolio.
  • Supervise the development and oversight of contract agreements and templates to ensure legal, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity.
  • Educate team members on purchase order protocols to streamline procurement and adhere to guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes to mitigate risks.
  • Proactively communicate between PMO, legal, maintenance teams, plant managers, production sites, and suppliers to ensure clear understanding, agreement, and communication of all supply requirements.
  • Issue purchase orders for new or updated services and materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement, supply chain or manufacturing OR 2-5 consulting experience.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Experience in supplier management and knowledge of the indirect portfolio is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related fields.
