About The Position

The Associate Manager, Health Services is responsible for overseeing healthcare management staff and ensuring the development of high-performing teams. This role involves collaboration with functional area managers to maintain consistency in clinical and non-clinical interventions, meeting financial, operational, and quality objectives, and implementing healthcare management services in compliance with regulatory standards. The position also includes mentoring staff, managing resources for care plans, and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Florida and be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • 3+ years of managed care experience.
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, and policies related to medical management.
  • Ability to mentor and support staff to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, including navigating multiple systems.
  • Time efficient and highly organized.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years management experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a physical or behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to build high morale and group commitment to goals.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret data to improve outcomes.
  • Effective communication with Providers, Members, Staff, and Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee healthcare management staff and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ensure consistency in clinical and non-clinical interventions supporting members.
  • Accountable for meeting financial, operational, and quality objectives of the unit.
  • Implement healthcare management services for assigned functional area.
  • Implement clinical and non-clinical policies & procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a content model expert and mentor regarding practice standards and quality of interventions.
  • Monitor best practice approaches to address member needs across the continuum of care.
  • Act as a liaison with other key business areas as needed.
  • Develop and review new training content and deliver training sessions.
  • Protect confidentiality of member information and adhere to company policies.
  • Manage resources for identification of members and development of care plans.
  • Communicate performance expectations and monitor team understanding of information systems.
  • May have responsibility for own case load work.
  • Act as a single point of contact for members and the Care Management Team.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring processes for staff.
  • Assess developmental needs and implement action plans for team development.
  • Promote teamwork and cross-product integration for strong performance.
  • Lead change efforts and create a positive work environment.
