About The Position

L3Harris–Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) is seeking an Associate Manger – Cost Accounting, to join the Program Cost Accounting function, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Project Cost Accounting. This role has responsibility for various Program Cost Accounting functions of the divisions within the Segment, which primarily include review and reporting of inventory activity, project costing transfers and adjustments, analyzing slow or non-moving inventory, review of account reconciliations, monthly close activities, and other projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Cost Accounting experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Experience with ERP System (preferably Oracle)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills, enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities

Responsibilities

  • Performs project inventory cost analysis, and prepares cost metrics, analyzes project cost transfers and adjustments.
  • Responsible for posting cost entries to general ledger accounts and reviewing complex account reconciliations
  • Develops and maintains project cost process and controls. Implement changes in the Oracle project cost module, if needed.
  • Oversight of Inventory and project cost sub-ledgers opening and closings, reviews sub-ledger transactions and exceptions, and oversees resolution of any exceptions
  • Maintains Oracle expenditure codes in the cost sub-ledger, a ssist in the testing, deployment, and integration of planned Oracle updates
  • Completion of quarterly inventory net realizable value (NRV) assessments for both contract and non-contract inventory
  • Responsible for the quarterly material transfer flux reporting, detailing quarterly changes
  • Develops and maintains guidelines and procedures to monitor the accuracy of the project costs and the interface to the General Ledger.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reporting and assistance with special projects, as requested
  • Support audits (External Audit, Internal Audit, SOX)
