About The Position

As the Associate Manger for Cleaning Category Sales Planning you will partner closely with both internal (Business Unit [BU] & cross functional partners] and external stakeholders (Field Sales & retailers) in delivering both near term and further out (1-3 year) growth plans for assigned area of business. In addition to acting as Sales Planning lead for assigned area of business you will represent broader Cleaning Sales Planning on enterprise initiatives (e.g. Net Revenue Management [NRM]). In this role, you will: Drive the Business : Contributes to business planning for the Cleaning BU. Works with cross-functional partners and customer/field teams to bring the Sales perspective into the BU. Create and update complex reports for sales planning team, BU project teams and customer teams. Create reports that support a broad range of internal stakeholders (Sales Leadership, Business Insights Group, Demand Planning, Analytic Insights, etc.) Customer and Category Support: Provides input into Cleaning business plan, while integrating customer plans as appropriate. Independently gather and interpret data and identify business drivers and opportunities. Lead sales input process for core business activities including innovation and forecasting. Multi-year Growth Plans : Work w/ cross functional partners for assigned business on Multi-Year-Plan (MYP) sufficiency to build/identify drivers to achieve plan sufficiency. Collaborate with Customer Sales Planning/Field to incorporate MYP into retailer/customer plans. Financial Acumen : Accountable for forecasting Distribution; Velocity; Trade & Shopper Marketing needs for assigned business. Directly impacting incr. Net Sales (INCS), Gross Margin, and profit. NRM Planning (Full Scope NRM, incl. Pricing): Support NRM process with Sales functional input, management of work chartered, and driving execution of full scope NRM plans (e.g. strategic pricing, PPA, etc.) Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste : Uses appropriate tools, processes, resources to support the Cleaning organization. Communicate findings with wide variety of stakeholders including sales planning teams, internal BU functions, field sales/ customer teams, retailer contacts and Clorox leadership. Requirements

  • Typically 3-5 years of CPG experience
  • ~25% Travel
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting and budgeting
  • Experience building and deploying GTM strategies and navigating channel conflict dynamics
  • Experience working with cross functional teams fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Sr. Leadership Communication/Influence, Cross Functional Knowledge/Influence, Financial Acumen.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for experience in sales planning at Clorox/within the CPG industry working with leading retailers
